Hosting a DITEX Meeting

StockSnap_G0V362YTA5Interested in hosting one of our DITEX weekly meetings? Here is what you need to know and how to make it happen:

DITEX adds value to our Host by providing a “focus group” of trusted advisors to answer strategic, big-picture questions presented to our team by the executive management of our Host. Topics and challenges presented in the past have included:

  • Product road maps, breaking into a new business lines, helping struggling parts of the business succeed
  • Branding, messaging, communication strategies
  • Go-to-market strategies
  • Market intelligence

In return, our Host adds value helping connect DITEX members to potential employers.

Alternately, you may want to present a topic relevant to the group and lead a discussion on this topic. Past areas of discussion have included:

  • job-search strategies
  • executive-level salary negotiations
  • recent trends in a particular technology
  • considerations around consulting and contracting
  • market conditions

While hosting helps create a professional relationship with the Host and DITEX members, we are not interested in a sales pitch.

StockSnap_FSU5SG0X4UBringing in an executive level focus group composed of a dozen executives for a couple of hours might cost about $10,000. DITEX skips billing the host in exchange for a conference room we can use for a private meeting after the focus group session, and the Host catering breakfast. In the private part of the meeting we discuss market intelligence regarding employment opportunities and internal requests for professional introductions.

We meet on Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Host’s office, and average 12 members at each meeting.  If you cannot accommodate a group that size (plus members from your team) we have free access to a large conference room at a local non-profit, but need to reserve the room in advance.

The meeting agenda we usually follow is:

  • 1st 75 minutes:
Brief introductions, short overview of your business, discussion
  • Last 75 minutes:
    Internal group meeting

Please contact our Host Meetings Coordinator to discuss your proposed topic and next available date in our calendar.
